Audiophilelogy
One recording, heard with care. The system, the space, the objects and the ritual become part of the experience.
An independent study of sound
and the things that carry it.

A PRACTICE OF PAYING ATTENTION
Sound is not only heard.
It is spaced. It is felt. It is time.
Music deserves more than the background.
Two ways of being in the room.
One recording, heard with care. The system, the space, the objects and the ritual become part of the experience.
An invitation to the adventurous edges of music. Selectors, live experiments, unexpected connections.
Recordings to give your time to.
No shuffle. No hurry.

Audiophilelogy is the study, culture and appreciation of sound—and the things we use to experience it.
Before changing a component, change your position. Listen from the chair, the doorway, the far wall. Notice how the same recording seems to inhabit a different space.
The sleeve, the liner notes, the marks left by another owner. A recording carries a history beyond its sound. Spend a moment with it before the needle drops.
Choose one side. Put the phone away. Resist the urge to skip. Let an unfamiliar passage remain unfamiliar for a while.
Independent in spirit. Curious by nature. Audiophilelogy brings records, hi-fi, art and people into the same conversation.
From jazz and folk to microhouse and experimental sound, the thread is curiosity: where a recording comes from, how it reaches us, and what happens when we really listen.
